An Evening to Honor Conrad Solum

Evening to Honor Conrad Solum TKE USC

On Saturday, September 30, 2017 we honored Conrad Solum #171, The Chairman of the Board, with a classic “Roast”. It was 1965 again at the Downtown Jonathan Club, Grill Room, as a 20 piece big band played songs by Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. More than 100 alumni, family, friends, and undergraduates gathered starting with cocktails at 7pm. Dinner was served at 8pm and soon thereafter the Roast began. David Bohline #777 served as the Emcee and introduced speakers Donnie Aldrich, CEO of TKE International, Bill Skinner, Friend and Dirty 11, Sam Smock, TKE Fraternity brother #290, Bill Hare, Trojan Club Associate, and Rex Rolf, Beta-Sigma Chapter Advisor 1982-1990.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the establishment of the Conrad and Alli Solum Scholarship for Beta-Sigma. The scholarship was created to honor Connie and his wife Alli, and build a legacy that will last for many generations to come. Initial donations totaled $100,000. The fund will be managed by the Beta-Sigma Investment Club, Beta-Sigma Capital Holdings which is organized and run by the undergraduates. If you would like to thank Connie for his service to our fraternity or if Connie made an impact on your life, as he has for so many others, please consider donating to this worthy cause. Donate Here.
