1948 Chartering

On October 30, 1948 the Scorpion Club was chartered as the Beta-Sigma Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at Southern California.  The photographs below were provided by Frater George Strella #21, a member of Scorpion Club and a Founding Father of the Beta-Sigma Chapter.  The photos were taken in front of TKE West shortly after the chartering ritual.  You will see that while much has changed since 1948 the brotherhood and enthusiasm of the young men who join TKE was as real then as it is today.
